The Colorado READ Act states that a significant reading deficiency is determined when a student does not meet the minimum skill levels for reading competency as established by the state board for the student’s grade level. This session will cover what a body of evidence is, the role of the body of evidence in determining an SRD, and how this compilation of data is used to inform scientifically and evidence-based literacy instruction for all students.
