CSU Teaching and Learning CoLab 2023

This session will focus on two tools to improve math teaching: one that is specific to the discourse of mathematics and another that helps provide feedback on student collaborations.

Working with primary sources offers students the opportunity to build a wide range of skills, including assessing credibility, conducting research, understanding multiple perspectives, and gathering evidence to support a claim. The Library’s website (loc.gov) provides open access to a wide variety of digital primary and secondary sources of interest to researchers of all ages. This session will focus on analyzing and finding primary sources in secondary classrooms.

The Colorado Math Pathways Task Force has brought together educators and leaders from across secondary and postsecondary to find ways to help more students take high-quality math courses aligned to their aspirations. In this session, we'll discuss the work of the task force, understand the challenges we face in Colorado, and gather feedback for the task force.
