Catching Up and Moving Forward: Using Learning Acceleration to Create "Aha" Moments in Math

Now more than ever, it is critical that students have access to grade-level math with just-in-time foundational support. In this session, participants will explore the research and do the math behind coherent intervention strategies to identify practices that help kids have ‘aha’ moments that catch them up and move them forward in math.

Smoke, Steel and Fire: Resources of the Colorado Fuel and Iron Company

The Colorado Fuel and Iron Company (CF&I) was the West's largest heavy industry affecting several topics in Colorado history: labor, steelmaking, economics, geological change, social mobility, etc. During its 121-year history, the company produced thousands of documents, photographs and other media. This session will introduce educators what's in the collection to utilize primary sources available for classroom use.
